Job Title: Jr Shift Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Junior Shift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the operation and monitoring of equipment and processes during assigned shifts. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and process parameters to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Identify and report any abnormalities or issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks as required to ensure equipment reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
• Support the maintenance team in more complex repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in safety training sessions and stay updated with the latest safety practices.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operations, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
• Prepare shift reports detailing operational status, incidents, and actions taken.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational goals and resolve issues.
• Monitor product quality and ensure it meets company standards.
• Report any deviations in product quality to the Shift Supervisor.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in an industrial environment is preferred.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of machinery and equipment operation.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in varying conditions.
