Job Purpose
H/She will be a programme development lead to help develop and incubate new programmes related to women empowerment through financial inclusion initiatives.
Roles & Responsibility
- Develop and incubate new women empowerment initiatives that aim to catalyse women-led development through awareness creation, ecosystem knowledge platforms and socio-economic transformation, specifically through financial inclusion initiatives.
- Develop and launch programmes that aim to drive financial inclusion for women at scale, focusing on strengthening the financial ecosystem at the grassroots, enabling female access to those systems, and promoting innovative design and awareness of financial tools tailored for female entrepreneurs.
- Work in collaboration with programme teams to provide technical support to ensure existing programmes are gender inclusive, where required.
- Work with the M&E team to ensure disaggregated data and gender mainstreaming across all reporting.
- Work with the research team on publications to share best practice and with the communications team to develop the narrative across all women empowerment programmes and initiatives.
- Other RF Programme teams, M&E team, Research and Thought-Leadership team, Communications team, external technical and co-implementation partners.

- Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ Region-wide / Location-wide / Other): HO
Necessary:
- Postgraduate Degree in any of the fields related to the development sector.
- Minimum 10-12 years of work experience
- Specific expertise in building and running financial inclusion programmes
- Experience of implementing large scale development projects
- Thorough knowledge of the development social sector and specialist expertise in one or more areas.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
Desirable
- S/he should be experienced in commissioning projects from third parties to meet agreed objectives.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for his/her projects.
- Team player with leadership skills.
- Capable to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills in an international environment. Independent, confident and customer-focused mind-set.
- Ability to control processes and activities in a result-oriented manner and work effectively to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbally and in writing).
