Job Purpose

Lead and oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy Department at Reliance Foundation. Contribute to the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives by providing project management expertise and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.



Roles & Responsibility

  • Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and processes within the Strategy Department.
  • Lead the development and implementation of project plans for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources, budget management, and timeline adherence for strategic projects.
  • Implement robust project governance, including risk management, issue resolution, and performance tracking.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to the Chief Strategy Officer and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of project management tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Outcomes (KPIs)

  • Establishment and adherence to project management standards, resulting in streamlined processes and increased project success rates.
  • Successful development and implementation of project plans for all strategic initiatives, with 100% alignment with organizational goals.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, resulting in clearly defined project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Optimal allocation of resources, efficient budget management, and timely completion of strategic projects.
  • Implementation of robust project governance, evidenced by proactive risk management, issue resolution, and on-time performance.
  • Timely and comprehensive reporting on project progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Positive team collaboration culture, measured through feedback and project performance indicators.
  • Evaluation and adoption of project management tools and technologies, contributing to increased efficiency.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Necessary: Minimum Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. OR Post Graduate Degree in any of the fields related to the development sector.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of social sector experience.
  • Experience of implementing large scale development projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of the social sector and specialist expertise in one or more areas.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and technologies.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for his/her projects.
  • Team player with leadership skills.
  • Capable to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Independent, confident and customer-focused mind-set.
  • Ability to control processes and activities in a result-oriented manner and work effectively to tight deadlines.
