The Communications Manager is responsible for supporting and supervising all internal and external communications, including but not limited to websites, student handbooks, brochures, admission & recruitment advertisements, photoshoots, events branding, and campus branding.
Communications Manager is also expected to support in the preparation and dissemination of various communications to the schools, internal newsletters & other publications, as well as assist the RFSAC team members in developing high quality training material.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare communications materials and documents with the highest standards of excellence – letters, emails, circulars, messages, speeches, newsletters, templates for communications, etc.
2. Ensure timely release of school publications – diary, newsletter, update of websites, magazines etc.
3. Coordinate photoshoots with the central RIL team and school teams.
4. Support development of school brochures in coordination with the schools and the central branding team.
5. Conceptualize and develop school films.
6. Ensure school websites are updated regularly and follow the RFS website manual for language and picture standards.
7. The websites are integrated with the school ERP. Communications team needs to manage the announcements and related online documents for admissions and recruitment.
8. Some websites have dynamic sections while others need to be migrated to host dynamic pages.
9. School website committees need to be trained to use the dynamic sections. The work needs to be monitored at regular intervals to ensure data sanctity.
10. Ensure all publications are aligned with RFS branding protocols.
11. Liaison with internal RIL teams for website development, photoshoots, branding of events & campuses etc.
12. Facilitate preparing school advertisements – recruitment, admission, etc.
13. Ensure regular sharing of print and electronic resources with the schools and the RFSAC team members.
14. Support in preparing various K12 education related presentations, survey reports and documents for internal and external requirements.
15. Support in the preparation of various reports including annual reports of schools.
16. Keep the communications manual updated with schools’ requirements.
17. Provide communications support for review meetings and professional development seminars, events, meetings, workshops, etc. and also serve as a resource person for these.
18. Facilitate communication with respect to interschool competitions.
19. Design and develop materials and documents for workshops and conferences.
20. Source and share best practices in communications.
Educational qualification & experience:
- Postgraduate degree in English, Journalism, or Mass Communication.
- 10 to 15 years of experience with a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Previous experience and a strong interest in educational writing will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in leading content strategy for digital platforms, such as websites and knowledge portals.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize technology effectively for communication.
- Capable of adhering to strict deadlines.
- Possesses a positive and engaging personality.
