The Supply Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing business profitability through effective supply, procurement, and manufacturing planning as part of the S&OP process. Acting as the main point of contact for all markets, they ensure timely fulfilment of customer requirements by leading supply and MRP reviews, developing the S&OP process, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role involves close collaboration with various teams, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance. The Supply Planner is responsible for adherence to production plans, developing replenishment models, and analysing S&OP metrics for delivery performance and inventory management. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
· Lead and facilitate Supply and MRP reviews with stakeholders to achieve planning metrics such as DIFOT, Inventory, and Turnover.
· Drive the development and implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the organization.
· Ensure adherence to agreed production plans and monitor supply fill rates while reporting deviations.
· Release production plans to operations and prepare dispatch plans according to demand and production schedules.
· Develop replenishment models based on market dynamics and supply constraints for efficient inventory management.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure seamless product delivery to the market.
· Coordinate with outbound logistics to achieve timely delivery targets and maintain communication channels for effective execution.
· Proactively drives goal attainment and enhances forecast accuracy through initiative, ensuring results-focused outcomes.
· Maximizes commitments versus actuals, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) proactively, and contributes to optimizing requirements versus commitments, fostering efficient supply chain interactions.
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
Functional:
· Proficient in structured communication, capable of effectively presenting to individuals and groups of varying sizes.
· Familiarity with advanced Excel and other forecasting tools, facilitating data analysis and informed decision-making.
Behavioural:
· Strong decision-making skills, enabling the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
· Effective negotiation abilities for successful collaboration and conflict resolution.
· Excellent planning and organizing skills to manage tasks and resources effectively.
· Capable of gathering, organizing, and assessing data to address complex problems methodically.
· Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and adept at performing under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
Special skill:
· Demonstrated expertise in demand planning within industries such as Solar, Electronics, Pharma, or similar make-to-order supply chain environments.
· Up-to-date understanding of contemporary supply chain management methodologies and best practices.
· Possession of APICS certification showcasing advanced proficiency in supply chain management principles.
· Proficiency in SAP APO/SCM systems and experience in utilizing various process tools, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of global benchmarks.
Key Attributes
· Proficiency in maximizing commitments versus actuals, ensuring alignment between projected and achieved outcomes.
· Strong focus on analysing and optimizing overall requirements versus commitments, driving efficiency throughout the supply chain.
· Skill in inventory optimization, contributing to shared key performance indicators (KPIs) for enhanced operational performance.

Total Experience: 15-25 years
Qualification
· Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Science / Commerce
· Desired Qualification: Master’s Degree in Operations Management / Logistics / Operations Research / Supply Chain / Materials Management
