Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Commis I specializing in Chinese cuisine to join our team at Radisson Udaipur. This mid-level, full-time position is based in the vibrant city of Udaipur. The successful candidate will contribute to the culinary operations within our prestigious hotel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to our guests. Applicants should possess a strong foundation in Chinese culinary techniques and ingredients, complemented by effective time management skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Chinese cuisine with a strong understanding of flavors, ingredients, and techniques (Mandatory skill).
- Extensive knowledge of various spices, seasonings, and ingredients used in Chinese cooking (Mandatory skill).
- Effective time management skills to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in knife skills, allowing for precise and safe food preparation.
- Established abilities in food preparation, contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes.
- Familiarity with cooking techniques relevant to Chinese cuisine, ensuring authenticity and excellence.
- Strong skills in teamwork, collaborating effectively with kitchen staff and other hotel personnel.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in ingredient selection, plating, and overall presentation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various Chinese dishes in accordance with the hotel's high standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, accurately measured, and appropriately stored for efficient cooking.
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to innovate and refine menu offerings.
- Conduct quality checks on finished dishes before serving to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
