Job Overview
Ray Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Manager - Pharma Formulation to drive the growth and expansion of our injectable manufacturing facility. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to enhance our market presence. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2-10 years of relevant experience in business development in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business deals
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical formulation sector, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Self-motivated and result-oriented
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Willingness to travel as required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- · Export Business Development – Interact with international clients, search and identify new markets and select products for registration.
- · Ability to travel to a new country, do complete market research to finalize the products, decide the end pricing, finalize the business model, and close prospective distributors
- - Setting up teams in target countries, and building up the entire marketing plan, and then regular follow up to these countries, and regular visits to work in the field with the team.
- · Developing marketing (innovative sales promotion & brand building) and pricing strategies for those countries
- · Setting goals and developing plans for business & revenue growth- for each country.
- · To conclude the business deals with the international clients, and take quick action for commercialization
- · Market research, trends, data analysis, competitor analysis, customer preferences using data sources like IQVIA (IMS data), Exim data.
- · Co-ordinate with Regulatory Affairs for Samples, Document Deficiencies and Future Planning.
- · Communications with international clients and regulatory authorities regularly, and developing a close rapport with them.
- · Any other activity which needs to be done on the international client’s side or for the foreign country where the export needs to happen.
- · Important – Use of Social Media and Online Tools, to find out clients in different countries and then connect with them, and convert them as importers
- · New Market Development- Country research and importer research, sending initial emails, calling and fixing appointments to meet them.
- · Responsible to explore overseas business opportunities, and communicating with clients effectively to develop business, and increase sales.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical formulation sector
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance market presence and increase sales of our injectable products
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and regulatory affairs, to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
