Job Purpose
The Trade Finance Specialist manages and executes trade finance operations, including contracts for front-to-back Letters of Credit (LC) and back-to-back LCs. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of LC transactions and expertise in structuring, processing, and monitoring trade finance instruments to ensure smooth and efficient international trade operations.
Job Duties
- Manage and oversee all aspects of trade finance operations, specifically focusing on contracts for front-to-back LCs and back-to-back LCs.
- Structure, issue, and monitor Letters of Credit, ensuring compliance with national or international regulations and internal policies.
- Provide expertise in trade finance instruments, including documentary collections, guarantees and trade loans.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, financial institutions, and trade partners to facilitate seamless transactions.
- Review and analyse contract terms to ensure they align with the company’s trade finance strategy and risk management guidelines.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of LC transactions and related documentation.
- Stay updated on international trade finance regulations and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to trade finance operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on trade finance processes and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on trade finance activities and performance to senior management.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of Letters of Credit, including front-to-back and back-to-back LCs.
- Understanding of international trade finance regulations, standards, and practices.
- Familiarity with risk management practices in trade finance.

- Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP)

Experience
- 10 to 12 years of trade finance experience, focusing on managing Letters of Credit and related transactions.
- Proficiency in trade finance software and tools.
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and international payment systems.
Job Location
