Job Purpose:

As a Jr. Executive in the Purchase Department, the primary responsibility is managing the industry's procurement process efficiently. The role involves liaising with coal importers, ensuring accurate pricing, and coordinating the timely import of cargo through various ports in India. The Jr. Executive is tasked with maintaining regular communication with importers, tracking price fluctuations, and staying updated on vessel availability. The position requires meticulous record-keeping in the system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain records of vessel schedules and pricing in the system.
  • Research sourcing for new suppliers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Importer Touchpoint team to stay informed about market changes.
  • Regularly update the system with information on available vessels for picking up Indonesian coal.
  • Establish relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure a stable and diverse supply chain.
  • Responsible for researching vendors, examining prospective suppliers, and negotiating pricing and contract terms.
  • Perform other duties such as preparing reports, tracking orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and reviewing the quality of purchased products.
  • Generate reports necessary for updating the Purchasing dashboard to track the purchasing orders.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge:

  • Technical knowledge of computer skills & Google Suite

Education: Bachelor's degree in any stream.

Experience: A fresher or a minimum experience of 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role.

Certifications: No specific credentials are required.
