Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for transporting clients and packages to and from specified destinations, ensuring timely and safe arrival. This role involves planning routes, managing schedules, and fulfilling administrative tasks like office pickups. The Driver must be adept at navigating through traffic, construction, and weather delays using navigation applications to determine the best routes.

Job Duties

• Transport clients and packages to and from destinations.
• Arrive at destinations on schedule.
• Fulfill administrative needs, such as office pickups.
• Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Ensure the vehicle is maintained and cleaned regularly.
• Follow traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving.
• Communicate with clients and dispatchers to provide updates and coordinate schedules.
• Load and unload packages or luggage as needed.
• Maintain a log of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, petrol/diesel filling, tyres, and any other maintenance etc.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge

• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with navigation applications and GPS systems.
• Understanding of essential vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Strong time management and punctuality.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and dispatchers.
• Ability to plan routes and manage schedules effectively.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
• High level of responsibility and reliability.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful traffic situations.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous experience as a driver is preferred.
• Experience with navigation and route planning.

Certifications

• Valid driver's license.

• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
