Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team at Raga On The Ganges. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our guests. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role to showcase their skills in a picturesque location on the banks of the Ganga river.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Barista or similar role
• Strong knowledge of coffee-making techniques and espresso beverages
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality beverages
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members
• Basic cash handling and math skills
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Certification in barista training is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to our recipes and standards
• Assist guests in selecting beverages and answer any questions they may have about our menu
• Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, to ensure the quality of each beverage
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee preparation station and equipment
• Handle cash and process payments accurately
• Upsell additional products, such as pastries or snacks, to enhance the guest experience
• Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations
• Stay updated on new coffee blends and brewing techniques to recommend and offer unique and innovative beverages to guests
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
