Xemplar is a US-based software and solutions company that specializes in customer engagement and risk management software using AI/ML, GPT, Mobile, Web and Cloud technologies for insurance and financial services customers primarily in the US and Europe.

The applicant must be well versed with technology stack comprising of AWS, Nodejs, MySQL, etc., including solid experience in design and development of robust API services layer, for integration with front-end, Web Portals, and chatbots with strong ability to design end-to-end project architecture.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as Solution Architect on assigned products and projects to develop / confirm technical architecture standards, and design patterns to be used to meet project requirements.
• Develop and understanding of our existing IT infrastructure and architect solutions involving AWS cloud services, backend systems, and frontend components, web portals, chatbots, and mobile applications.
• Design cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, MySQL, and more, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and monitoring of applications on AWS.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Node.js and MySQL development teams, ensuring modular, reusable, and scalable code for building microservices and APIs.
• Strong hands-on expertise in designing and leading projects using modern development frameworks.
• Design and build secure, performant backend services, ensuring seamless integration with databases, third-party services, and front-end applications.
• Lead a backend focused team on assigned projects to oversee, plan and monitor backend development, devops and support activities.
• Drive tasks related to backend development by providing architectural and technical leadership to mid-tier and database developers. Implement database security measures, backup/recovery strategies, and performance tuning.
• Streamline workflows by implementing inventive technical solutions.
• Drive technical analysis for new projects including planning and driving proof-of-concepts, if needed.
• Conduct peer reviews as the lead into Git to confirm that developed code meets acceptable standards and guidelines. Delegate work assignments to team members and monitor the completion.
• Work closely with other leads, mid-tier development, front-end developers, database developers, etc. to ensure end-to-end integrity of the solution being developed.
• Collaborate with their team to identify and fix technical problems.
• Prepare Technical design documents which would help the team to understand the technical flow.
• Drive assigned tasks related to SOC 2 certification and ensure compliance to defined controls.
• Active participation in customer calls especially discussions related to Technical/Architectural and provide inputs.

Required Experience:

• More than 12 years of overall technical experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience as a technical lead or solution architect.
• Extensive application development experience in relevant technologies such as Node.JS, AWS and Database like MySQL or SQL Server.
• Worked on architecting/design complex digital applications using n-tier architecture.
• AWS Cloud Services and API-development (serverless computing) using Node.JS.
• One should have customer-facing experience (USA, Europe) will be preferred.
• Must be a strong communicator with advanced proficiency in English.

Educational Qualifications:

• Engineering graduate or B. Tech/MCA with relevant major subjects like Computer Science.
• Applicants with other advanced certifications in relevant areas will be preferred.

Technical Skills Required:

Must have Skills:

• NodeJS, API development.
• Strong expertise in AWS Cloud.
• Implement DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines.
• Should be effectively involved in code review process.
• Version Control (Gitlab, GitHub, Code Build etc.,).

Nice to have Skills:

• Basic knowledge on Angular.JS.
• Provide architecture guidance for AI-driven systems, including data pipelines, machine learning models, and integration with cloud-based AI services.
• Experience in designing solutions for mobile applications will be considered a significant advantage.
