Position : System Administrator Head

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT System Administrator Head to lead our IT department. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in networking concepts, troubleshooting techniques, Microsoft SQL Server, server backups, and web filtering techniques. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT field.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

1. Lead and manage the IT department, including overseeing daily operations and supervising IT staff.

2. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient and secure IT operations.

3. Collaborate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.

Networking:

1. Design, implement, and manage the organization's network infrastructure.

2. Ensure network security and optimize performance.

3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Troubleshooting:

1. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.

2. Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users.

3. Implement preventive measures to reduce system downtime and improve reliability.

Microsoft SQL Server:

1. Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.

2. Ensure database security, availability, and performance.

3. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.

Server Backup:

1. Develop and implement server backup strategies.

2. Ensure regular backups are conducted and securely stored.

3. Test backup systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.

Web Filtering Techniques:

1. Implement and manage web filtering solutions to protect against malicious content and ensure compliance with company policies.

2. Monitor and update web filtering rules and policies as needed.

3. Analyze web traffic and provide reports on usage and security incidents.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

2. Conduct regular IT audits and assessments.

3. Manage IT budgets and procurement processes.

4. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT system administration.

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including backup and recovery operations.

• Knowledge of server backup strategies and web filtering techniques.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
