Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized HR and Legal Compliance Manager to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing HR and legal compliance, including but not limited to PF, ESIC, Factory Licenses, and other statutory obligations for manufacturing. The candidate will also handle the implementation and monitoring of HR compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Compliance:
- Manage and ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and Labour Welfare Fund. workmen compensation act, Factory act
- Maintain employee records in compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Handle employment contracts, payroll processing, and statutory deductions.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave management, and overtime compliance in alignment with company policies.
- Oversee policy implementation and ensure compliance with HR policies.
Legal Compliance:
- Manage Factory Licenses, Shops and Establishment Act, and Industrial Disputes Act requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all government and industrial regulations applicable to the factory.
- Liaise with government agencies for audits, inspections, and license renewals.
- Handle compliance with various legal regulations, including Minimum Wages Act, Factories Act, and Payment of Wages Act.
Audit and Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to management.
- Facilitate external and internal audits related to HR and statutory compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing for inspections and audits.
Employee Relations & Grievance Handling:
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and legal matters.
- Address grievances and ensure that employee-related issues are handled in compliance with company policies and legal frameworks.
Training & Development:
- Conduct compliance-related training for employees to foster awareness.
- Stay updated on labour laws, legal amendments, and HR best practices, ensuring the company is well-informed and compliant.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Law.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in HR and legal compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setup.
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and HR compliance frameworks (PF, ESIC, Factory Acts, Workmen compensation act , etc.).
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Proven experience in managing legal audits and government inspections.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
