Job Title: Business Development Manager - Printing Industry


Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager for the Printing Industry will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. The role demands strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to drive revenue growth and build long-term partnerships. The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal teams and manage external partnerships to meet and exceed sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify and engage with new business prospects in the printing industry, including B2B clients, publishers, packaging companies, and other related sectors.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Manage client accounts, handle inquiries, and provide timely and effective solutions to their printing needs.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their evolving requirements and align services to meet their objectives.
  • Proposal & Contract Management:
  • Develop and present compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to specific client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable business agreements.
  • Work with internal teams, including production, operations, and finance, to ensure the feasibility and profitability of client projects.
  • Marketing & Brand Building:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products and services, participate in trade shows, and represent the company at industry events.
  • Utilize digital marketing strategies, social media, and content marketing to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Market & Industry Insights:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to anticipate market shifts and opportunities.
  • Share insights with the management team to contribute to the development of innovative products or services.
  • Sales Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress toward goals and make data-driven adjustments to sales strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the printing or packaging industry.
  • Strong understanding of printing processes, products, and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with digital marketing tools is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a competitive environment.
