**Job Title: HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment, and Community) Executive**


**Job Overview:**

The HSEC Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, environmental, and community relations programs within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, and maintaining positive relationships with the community.


**Key Responsibilities:**


1. **Regulatory Compliance:**

  - Stay updated on local, national, and international HSEC regulations and standards.

  - Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable laws and requirements.


2. **Risk Management:**

  - Identify, assess, and manage health, safety, environmental, and community-related risks.

  - Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and control potential hazards.


3. **Emergency Response Planning:**

  - Develop and maintain emergency response plans for health, safety, and environmental incidents.

  - Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure effective response and preparedness.


4. **Environmental Management:**

  - Implement and manage environmental management systems to minimize the organization's environmental impact.

  - Monitor and report on environmental performance, initiatives, and achievements.


5. **Health and Safety Training:**

  - Develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.

  - Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to.


6. **Community Relations:**

  - Establish and maintain positive relationships with the local community.

  - Implement community engagement programs and initiatives to demonstrate social responsibility.


7. **Auditing and Inspections:**

  - Conduct regular internal HSEC audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  - Coordinate external inspections and audits, addressing findings promptly.


8. **Data Analysis:**

  - Analyze HSEC data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  - Use data-driven insights to develop and implement strategies to enhance HSEC performance.


9. **Team Leadership:**

  - Lead the HSEC team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in the implementation of HSEC initiatives.

  - Foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and community engagement within the organization.


10. **Crisis Management:**

  - Develop and implement crisis management protocols to respond effectively to HSEC-related incidents.

  - Coordinate crisis response efforts to minimize impacts on employees, the environment, and the community.


11. **Documentation and Reporting:**

  - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSEC activities, incidents, and initiatives.

  - Prepare and submit regular reports to management and regulatory authorities.


12. **Continuous Improvement:**

  - Drive continuous improvement in HSEC performance through regular reviews, assessments, and the implementation of best practices.

  - Encourage a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.


13. **Collaboration:**

  - Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSEC considerations into organizational planning, projects, and activities.

  - Work closely with human resources, operations, and other relevant teams to ensure a holistic approach to HSEC.


14. **Hazard Identification and Control:**

  - Implement processes for identifying workplace hazards and establishing controls to mitigate risks.

  - Ensure that safety measures are incorporated into the design and planning of projects.


15. **Negotiation Skills:**

  - Negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to HSEC standards and requirements.


**Qualifications and Requirements:**


- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

- Professional certifications in HSEC management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) are preferred.

- Proven experience in a similar HSEC role, preferably within the industry.

- Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and community relations regulations and best practices.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSEC management software.
