Job Title: Manager - Accounts

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support our financial operations.

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a highly organized and skilled individual with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Operations:
  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with The Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management and board meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings i.e. GST, TDS and Income Tax etc.
  1. Audit and Compliance:
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and standards.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the accounting function.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Inter CA or CA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of The Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the electronics or sustainability sectors is a plus.
