Position: Blood Bank Medical Officer

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and protocols.

2. Perform blood typing, cross-matching, and antibody screening.

3. Coordinate with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient blood transfusions.

4. Conduct donor interviews, screenings, and collections following established procedures.

5. Manage inventory and storage of blood products, ensuring proper handling and labeling.

6. Provide guidance and training to staff members on blood bank procedures and protocols.

7. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance overall blood bank services.

8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

 Qualifications:

1. Medical degree with a valid license to practice as a Medical Officer.

2. Specialization in Transfusion Medicine or a relevant field is highly desirable.

3. Previous experience in a blood bank or transfusion service setting.

4. Strong knowledge of blood banking procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
