Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented IT Assistance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our members, ensuring seamless IT operations within the workspace, and maintaining our technological infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to members for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set up and maintain workstations, including installing and configuring computer hardware, software, printers, and other peripherals.
- Monitor and manage the co-working space's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable internet connectivity and security.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new members, ensuring they have the necessary IT resources and support.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with external IT service providers and vendors as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies, and manage procurement when necessary.
- Document technical issues and solutions in a clear and organized manner.
- Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a co-working space or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and office productivity software.
- Basic understanding of network security practices and protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with VoIP systems and telecommunication support.
- Knowledge of cloud services and platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
- Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant IT certifications.
