Design Responsible for Trim Components

Will be responsible for the Engineering, Design, Development, Timing and validation of Body Trim components. This will include analyzing the design to ensure it meets requirements and working with the extended vehicle team for production implementation and competitive benchmarking, Change Management, Issue Management, Team Management and BOM Management.

•        Concept Design and feasibility studies of Functional Plastics, Claddings, FEM, Roof Rack, Side Steps etc.,

•        Design reviews, design practice checks, regulations, 

•        Lead the team of DLs and Engineers

•    Experience on Functional Plastics - Roof Rack, Wheel Liners, Pillar Appliques / Moldings, Badges and FEM/Aero/Cladding - Body Side Moldings, Underbody Shield, Spoiler, Side Steps

The Design Responsilbe will execute component standardization and reuse, DVP, best practices and lessons learned in other Global car projects. The successful candidate will maintain functional objectives, DFMEA's, DVPR's and standards.

CAD Tool: UG NX, CATIA and PLM

Qualifications, Experience and Competency Requirements:

ØHands on experience on Exterior trim part design and development, plastics material selection process.

ØGood experience in analyzing the styling data and mounting concept creation.

ØStrong background in creating GD&T requirements, gap and flush analysis.

ØStrong background on Exterior part homologation requirement.

ØStrong Knowledge in design and development of above Trim Systems.

ØPlastics processing knowledge, Tooling background is essential.

ØStrong background on Automobile Product life cycle management and Manufacturing knowledge.

ØGood Knowledge in Change Management, Change Notice and ECR

ØIssue resolution and cost management knowledge.

ØKnowledge on Testing and validation plan.

ØWork Experience in UG NX, CATIA and PLM.

ØExperience in DFMEA, DVP&R.

ØExcellent communication and Team player.

Good Experience in handling the design and development team
