About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive to generate and close sales opportunities for our services. You will be responsible for identifying, pitching, and nurturing new business leads. A key aspect of this role is mastering the art of pitching, initiating conversations, and closing deals. Strong communication and sales-related skills are critical to success in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Identify and qualify new business opportunities through lead generation, online platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer), social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), Ads and Campaign, Google My Business, cold calls, and emails etc.

·        Conduct research about the business, competitors, and list the services that we can suggest and offers.

·        Research and understand potential client need and market trends.

·        Identify the correct POC (point of contact), and decision makers, arrange and schedule meetings or calls with them.

·        Initiate contact with prospects via calls, emails, or messaging platforms.

·        Pitch services effectively, explaining our offerings and demonstrating their value.

·        Bifurcate the clients based on needs, requirements, and budget and other factors.

·        Create, design, and customize proposals, quotation, SOW, planning sheet, offer sheet, and presentations for clients / prospects.

·        Consistently follow up with leads to keep them engaged, motivated and move them through the sales funnel.

·        Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.

·        Negotiate terms and pricing with clients, addressing any concerns they may have.

·        Close deals by aligning client needs with company offerings and securing agreements.

·        Track leads, proposals, and client interactions in a CRM or other database.

·        Coordinate with the internal team to ensure smooth project transitions and client onboarding.

·        Address post-sale client queries and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.

·        Work towards meeting or exceeding monthly sales and revenue targets.

·        Continuously learn and update yourself on market trends and service offerings.

·        Collaborate with the BD Manager to improve sales strategies and processes.

 

Required Skills:

·        Strong knowledge of sales techniques, cold calling, pitching, and closing.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and prospects / clients.

·        Ability to handle client objections and negotiate effectively.

·        Strong organizational skills to track leads and manage follow-ups efficiently.

·        Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

·        Good analytical skills to understand market trends and client needs.

·        Familiarity with CRM tools to manage client databases and sales pipelines.

·        Strong attention to detail when drafting proposals and contracts.

·        Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic sales environment.

 

Optional Skills:

·        Familiarity with freelancing platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.

·        Experience in the Advertising, Digital Marketing, or IT Services industry is a plus but not mandatory.

·        Understanding of SaaS, e-commerce, or any fast-growing tech-based services is beneficial.

·        Experience working on similar freelancing platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, etc.) from a different industry can also be valuable.

·        Knowledge of client account management or project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.

·        Experience in content creation or design related services can be advantageous for understanding creative and digital projects.

·        Prior exposure to working in start-ups or SMEs with a focus on business growth and scalability.

·        Strong presentation skills for delivering compelling service overviews and pitches.

·        Familiarity with lead generation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Sales Navigator) is an added advantage.
