About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Associate Backend Developer to join our core tech team. This role is central to our mission of building revolutionary products in women’s healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering within a distributed systems environment. You will be at the forefront of our product development process, contributing to a project that has a meaningful impact on women's health and wellness

Requirements

Experience: 1 - 2 years in software engineering, preferably in a distributed systems environment.

Technical Expertise:

1. Proficiency in Node.js (NestJs, Express), SQL.
2. Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, SQS, and Lambda.
3. Strong skills in implementing microservices.
4. In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
5. Familiarity with engineering best practices (testing, continuous integration, containerization).
6. Experience with Elasticsearch, Redis and distributed caches/queues.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong communication and leadership skills.
2. Keen attention to detail.
3. Solid grasp of algorithms and object-oriented programming.
4. 
   

Operational Excellence: Keen in building and operating large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency production systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

A strong technologist who cares about code modularity, scalability and reusability as the problems we solve today become the foundation for and thrive in an ambiguous environment, rapidly changing environment, continuously adapting and bringing newer solutions. 

1. Code Development: Write efficient, modular, and scalable code to build secure and scalable systems.
2. Module Ownership: Take charge of backend development for one or more modules, working in collaboration with architects, engineers, and product managers.
3. Quality Assurance: Implement and manage automated build/test/deployment environments. Uphold high standards through code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions.
4. System Reliability: Ensure the systems you oversee are secure, fault-tolerant, and perform reliably at high volumes.
