Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to expectant mothers.
2. Monitor the progress of labor, fetal heart rate, and maternal vital signs.
3. Assist in the management of pain during labor, including administering medications as prescribed.
4. Administer oxytocin and other medications to induce or augment labor, as needed.
5. Assist in conducting deliveries, including monitoring the health and safety of both mother and baby.
6. Provide immediate care to the newborn, including assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization.
7. Assist with postpartum care, including monitoring vital signs, facilitating breastfeeding, and offering emotional support to new mothers.
8. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and confidential.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians and pediatricians, to ensure the best possible care.
10. Educate patients and their families on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and safety guidelines.
