Job Overview

Podar Education Network is seeking a Junior Yoga Teacher for our Mysuru location. This part-time role requires 1 to 3 years of yoga instruction experience. The ideal candidate should be skilled in promoting physical fitness and mental relaxation techniques, while embodying the values of patience, empathy, and adaptability to enrich our students' learning experiences.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in yoga instruction with a focus on safety and effective teaching techniques (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong understanding of physical fitness to guide students toward achieving a balanced physical state (Mandatory skill).
  • Capability to teach mental relaxation techniques to help students manage stress and enhance focus (Mandatory skill).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy to ensure safe and informed yoga sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback to students.
  • Demonstrated patience and ability to engage with a diverse student body, catering to individual learning speeds.
  • Adaptability to adjust teaching methods based on each student’s needs and abilities for personalized learning.
  • Empathy and the capacity to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging and dynamic yoga classes focused on enhancing students' physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement tailored yoga programs for students at different levels, ensuring safety and accessibility.
  • Continuously assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and adjusting practices as necessary.
  • Promote a holistic approach to physical education, integrating mindfulness and relaxation techniques into sessions.
  • Facilitate a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest yoga trends and incorporate innovative practices into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student development and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a professional and positive rapport with students, fostering an atmosphere of trust and respect.
