Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Yoga Instructor to join our team at Podar Education Network in Mysuru. The role is a full-time position, requiring 1 to 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching yoga and promoting physical fitness within our educational environment.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Yoga Teaching (Mandatory skill): proficiency in guiding yoga sessions for a diverse group of students with different skill levels.
  • Physical Fitness (Mandatory skill): maintain a high level of physical fitness to demonstrate yoga poses and techniques effectively.
  • Patience (Mandatory skill): exhibit immense patience while working with students at various levels of yoga practice.
  • Meditation Guidance: the ability to instruct students in various meditation techniques to enhance mindfulness and relaxation.
  • Anatomy Knowledge: understanding the human body's anatomy to prevent injuries and provide safe practice adjustments.
  • Communication Skills: clear and effective communication to explain yoga poses, breathing techniques, and lifestyle advice.
  • Adaptability: flexibility to adapt teaching methods to suit the diverse needs and levels of students.
  • Empathy: demonstrate empathy and understanding of the students' needs and emotional well-being, fostering a supportive environment.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct comprehensive yoga classes tailored to students' abilities, promoting physical and mental wellness.
  • Guide meditation sessions, teaching students various techniques for enhanced focus and relaxation.
  • Monitor and correct students' yoga postures to prevent injuries and ensure effective practice.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation.
  • Consult with students to understand their goals and tailor yoga practices to individual needs.
  • Stay updated on the latest yoga practices and health trends to continually enhance teaching methods.
  • Organize workshops or special classes to engage and foster a love for yoga within the student community.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to integrate yoga practices into the broader curriculum and school activities.
