Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Import Manager, preferably in the herbal manufacturing industry.
• Having experience in importing herbal extract.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Proficient in import documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and import-related software.
• Knowledge of import-related software and ERP systems is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end import process including sourcing, negotiation, documentation, and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with all import laws, regulations, and customs requirements.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Coordinate with internal teams to streamline import processes and resolve any issues or delays.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and mitigate any potential risks or disruptions.
• Manage import documentation including purchase orders, shipping invoices, and customs clearance documents.
• Monitor and analyze import costs to optimize expenses and maximize efficiency.
• Stay updated with changes in import regulations and trade agreements to adjust import strategies accordingly.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, manufacturing, and finance.
• Provide regular reports and updates on import activities to management.
