Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Import Manager to join our team at PHYTO LIFE SCIENCES PRIVATE LIMITED. As an Import Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the importation process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing the logistics of importing goods, and coordinating with suppliers and customs officials. This is a senior-level position requiring a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in import management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field
• Proven experience as an Import Manager , with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience
• Experience in importing herbal extract.
• In-depth knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in using import management software and ERP systems
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the importation process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to facilitate the timely and efficient import of goods
• Manage the logistics of importing goods, including coordinating transportation and monitoring shipment progress
• Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping of all import transactions
• Evaluate and select the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods
• Monitor market trends and changes in import regulations to ensure compliance and optimize import processes
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the importation process
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure sufficient inventory levels
• Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with import regulations and identify areas for improvement
