Role and Responsibilities:

As the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy and direction of our products. You will build and lead a talented team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and hands on leadership to our engineering team. Define and drive the architectural vision, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of our systems.
2. People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and open communication.
3. Hands on Product Development: Actively participate in coding, code review, and contribute directly to development tasks.
4. Product strategy and development: Drive the end to end development process, from ideation to deployment. Leverage your experience in building products from scratch at early stage startups, while also optimising systems for scale in established environments.
5. Problem Solving: Apply your keen interest in solving complex product problem statements and engineering challenges. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
6. Startup Experience: Bring your track record of working in early stage startups and B2B SaaS environments to drive innovation, agility, and efficiency in our engineering processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 7-9 years of overall software engineering experience.
3. 2 years of experience in a managerial role, leading and developing engineering teams.
4. Expertise in frontend and backend technologies, preferably using JavaScript, React JS, Python, and Fast API.
5. Previous involvement in a B2B SaaS startup in leadership or founder role is highly desirable.
