Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Controller to join our team in Kottayam. The role is ideal for mid-level professionals with a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience. As a Quality Controller, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and safety across our product lines, including spices and coffee. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of sustainable and ethical production.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in coffee roasting, with a deep understanding of different coffee processes.
• Thorough knowledge of coffee board regulations and standards.
• Strong background in food technology, particularly in the areas of organic food processing and value chains.
• Proficient in quality assurance and quality control methodologies specific to the food production industry.
• Experience working with spices, including their processing and quality assessment.
• Ability to conduct extractions and other relevant food technology processes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality standards for all products, including spices and coffee, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement quality control protocols.
• Coordinate with suppliers and small farmers to ensure the quality of raw materials meets company standards.
• Document and report quality control findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Train and mentor junior staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in quality assurance and food technology.
• Ensure adherence to Fairtrade, organic, and sustainable production practices.
