Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Officer to oversee our procurement and inventory management processes for Kurianad,Kottayam factory. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing the procurement cycle, and ensuring optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in procurement and purchase management in FMCG/Export company.
- Proven experience in sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and inventory management principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies based on company goals and objectives
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish contractual agreements
- Maintain a strong supplier base and foster long-term relationships
- Manage the procurement cycle, including purchase order issuance, tracking, and expediting
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure optimal stock levels
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
