Hiring for Legal Manager (Litigation) for a leading real estate developer in Bangalore.

Main Objectives:

• The objective is to ensure legal compliance with zero errors in the contract of the company

• To ensure due diligence of existing and upcoming cases to reduce/bring down the litigation cases


  • Assist Business Development team in the completion of legal due diligence and in the verification of land-related documents; coordinate with external legal firms as required.
  • Provide timely support for the preparation and vetting of all contracts (sales and lease), tenders, and agreements for various internal departments, from a legal perspective to minimize business risks.
  • Ensure timely response is sent to legal queries raised by customers/other external parties.
  • Set up guidelines for the design and execution of all contract and vendor selection-related activities; draft the general condition of the contract and review and update same on a periodic basis.
  • Complete the necessary procedures for incorporation/creation of new companies/Group companies/subsidiaries.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal compliances as specified by Company Law, SEBI, and other laws/bodies as may be applicable.
  • Draft responses to legal queries etc. of investors/shareholders; ensure validation of responses with external firms/agencies in case of perceived high risks.
  • Verify all documents/agreements to be signed with external parties (MOU, Joint Development Agreement, Lease Deed, Sales Deed, Space Sharing Agreement, Agreement to Sell, Agreement to Build, POA etc.) to ensure minimal risks for the company.
  • Establish a framework for effective legal document control and management in alignment to company's guidelines.
  • Drive circulation of information / legal updates (latest amendments, gazette notifications, government orders etc.) to all concerned departments/employees to ensure that everybody is well-informed.
  • Lead the development of a mechanism to check adherence to legal/ statutory compliances across all the departments and regions.
  • Led the development of a database of Landowners, Advocates, and Project specific details (residential, commercial, and retail); continuously updated the same.
  • Provide timely support to Internal Departments on all legal-related matters; standardize the protocols for legal support and control processes across the company.
  • Co-ordinate with the Sales and Marketing team to prepare project sales kit, and sales agreement and to register sales deed.

Minimum Requirement:

  • LLB/LLM with 8 plus years of experience in Real Estate
  • Proficient in Kannada (Reading, writing and speaking)
  • Sound knowledge of Real estate legalities and RERA
