• The preferable qualification shall be (B.Tech/ B.E. in Engineering/ Industrial Safety with 03 years
• Working experience Or Diploma in Engineering/ Industrial Safety with 05 years' working experience
• As Work Permit System compliance supervisor or Safety supervisor in any process industry. Inspectors
• Should have good knowledge of industrial safety matters.
• Min. 3 Years of experience in Petroleium refinery/petrochemical plants etc.
• Each supervisor shall exercise close supervision (on safety point of view) of all the activities (Hot,
• Cold, confined and work at height jobs etc and any critical jobs as per direction of EIC) being carried
• out in Haldia refinery.
• Supervisor shall cross-check compliance of safety rules and procedures during execution of work.
• Supervisor shall cross-check that all the works are being carried out with proper permit and valid
• clearance.
• Supervisors must take immediate corrective action whenever unsafe conditions/ acts/ practices are
• identified.
• Supervisors shall explain in detail the particular hazards where the workmen are working and the
• precautions to be taken to check safety during work.
• Supervisors shall inculcate safety awareness in the minds of all workmen through daily safety
• awareness program and tool box talk.
• Supervisors shall check that the safety regulations are understood, that all practicable measures have
• Been taken to eliminate hazards and all means of egress exist, stairways and similar means of escape are
• clear, workable and thoroughly known to all workmen.
• Supervisors must set a good example in knowing and observing all safety rules and precautions as
• well as communicating the same to other agency workers.
• Supervisors shall investigate and report the root causes of all accidents/ incidents that occure in their
• areas of responsibility on prescribed forms and immediately take/ suggest remedial actions to prevent
• recurrence of such incidents.
• Supervisors are required to have contacts with persons working in isolated places; frequent site visit
• to such places shall be carried out by supervisor and as per direction of EIC/SIC.
• By regular and systematic inspection, supervisors shall cross check that all lifting tools & tackles,
• equipment, machinery and premises are in safe and operative condition.
• Checking the compliance of PPE at site/ inside battery area and make the defaulters to wear PPEs on
• spot. He shall share his concern to SIC/EIC, if any.
• m) Supervisor shall cross-check the practice of daily safety talk prior to start of work by the executing
• agency. He will also cross check that in the talk, all the aspect related to use of PPE, height work,
• hot/cold job (safety) are being addressed to the workmen.
• Supervisor shall maintain a register for noting down the daily safety observations and same will be
• shown to SIC/EIC on daily basis.

• Salary Per Month: Rs. 52,000/-(PF & other statutaory deductations applicable)
