We have an urgent requirement for the position of Principal Structural Engineer at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India .(MNC Client).

Duration:- 01 Year TPC (Extendable)

Experience - 13+ Years of experience in Water & Wastewater/ Power Plant/ Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas/Infrastructure related Projects

Qualification:- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering

• Experience in AutoCAD/ Naviswork / Tekla/ STAAD Pro/E3D/ SP 3D

Job Knowledge:

i)

Knowledge of Indian and international Design Engineering Codes & Standards is mandatory.

ii)

Proficient in structural analysis & design of steel structures

iii)

Proficient in Steel works design elements such as beam/column/braces/trusses/connection design/monorail beam/composite steel beam

iv)

Proficient in designing the structures for Pipe load, Equipment load, Wind load & seismic load & geotechnic load

v)

Involved in assessments and strengthening of existing structures.

vi) Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards

vii) Apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and nonstandard situations

viii) Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures

Review of bill of material

x)

Efficient and effective production of project deliverables

xi)

Knowledge in pre bid engineering and tendering is required.

Key Responsibilities:

i) Lead structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.

ii)

Designing and planning the structural components of various design projects including requirement analysis, sketch review and finalizing specifications

iii)

Monitoring detailed drawings of structures for constructors & preparing models of the projects

iv) Participate in development of project schedule, scope, budget staffing planning and construction planning. Responsible for effective management of change orders.

v)

Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers/ CAD Designers & 3D Modellers.

vi)

Validating design and engineering drawings prepared in-house are in compliant with client requirements.

vii)

Coordinating with client, Sub Contractor and Vendor.

Preparing As-built Drawings

ix) Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.

x) Responsible for QA/QC process adherence. Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines. xi) Monitor detailed design, QA Processes, drawings and specifications as per the client requirement in adherence to regulations and standard codes xii) Contribute to increasing internal capability, ensuring delivery and quality along with technical excellence

xiii) Identify and pre-empt project red flags, concerns, roadblocks and potential challenges to ensure smooth delivery
