About the role:
As an Account Executive (AE) at Pesto, you will take charge of advancing prospects through the sales pipeline and closing deals that drive our growth. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and a results-driven approach to sales. You will be responsible for owning the sales process from qualification to closing, ensuring a seamless transition for clients and a positive experience with Pesto. You’ll collaborate closely with SDRs, Tech and Marketing teams and the Founder to refine strategies, develop personalized solutions, and scale Pesto’s impact in the market.
Here are some key responsibilities:
- Take qualified leads from SDRs and manage them through the sales funnel to close.
- Build strong relationships with prospective clients through consultative selling, understanding their needs, and demonstrating the value of Pesto’s offerings.
- Develop and present customized solutions based on client requirements, ensuring alignment with their goals.
- Handle proposal development, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM.
- Collaborate with SDRs to provide insights that refine lead qualification and outreach strategies.
- Gather and share market intelligence to help shape Pesto’s sales and product strategies.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- 2 to 4 years of proven success in a similar role (Account Executive, Sales Manager, or equivalent), preferably in the IT or tech industry.
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions.
- Familiarity with tech solutions and services. Experience using CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with SDRs, marketing, and leadership teams.
- A results-driven mindset with the tenacity to achieve and exceed targets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.
