Job Description : Pricing

Company Name : NORTHSTAR CARGO

Function : Pricing

Designation : Assistant Manager

Line of Business (LOB’s) : SFI/AFI

Product : Ocean & Air

Location : Mumbai

 

As a pricing specialist, you work closely with upper management and the sales department to develop pricing strategies.

 

Requirements 


  • Industry Experience – Minimum 5+ years
  •  Educational Qualification – Graduation (in any Stream)
  • MBA / Post Graduation will be added advantage.


Responsibilities


  • Process pricing requests for local sales, key accounts for international Air Freight and Ocean Freight businesses
  • Communicate with Sales to get clarification or provide notifications of the pricing decisions
  • Coordinate with Operations and other teams to prepare competitive proposal.
  • Provide competitive pricing as per the Sales & Pricing Strategy determined by the Supervisor for each pricing request and in accordance to the shipping profile and commitment.
  • Ensure timely turnaround for all pricing requests and contract renewals
  • Monitor all win/ loss rate of pricing approved and analyze the price level for future pricing adjustment and decision
  • Monitor Market price level and competitors rates movement
  • Ensure that proper Corporate/ Region pricing procedures are implemented and operated
  • Analyze and disseminate strategic information to ensure bid process effectiveness.

 

Revenue Management

  • Exploring all opportunities of Profit Maximization.
  • Reduction in Cost over heads, Ocean Freight / Land side cost etc.


Internal Stakeholder Support


  • Support Supervisors and Managers and provide the necessary level of analysis upon requests
  • Take on rotational team e-mail distribution and bid assignment roles
  • Monitoring market for pricing fluctuations.
  • Provide analysis on ad hoc requests from Sales and senior leaderships
  •  Work with Finance or Operations to conduct post profitability analysis
  •  Maintain pricing history for the future or cross-functional partner reference
  • Sharing market information – new trade lane services with internal team members.


Vendor Management

  • Relationship Building with Carriers (MLO’s), NVOCC’s, Consolidators, IATA Agents, Third Party Service Providers and Overseas Partners.
