1. Responsible for writing high quality proposals for various service offerings, specifically in support of Formulation & Development and CDMO services.
2. Coordinates and leads Strategic Value Add Proposals meeting with Executive Leadership Team.
3. Leadership and management of the new enquiry process from proposal generation through to tracking of the process.
4. Overall accountability for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) process ensuring operations engagement with the process and delivery of industry-leading proposals.
5. Management of Business Development (BD) engagement/interface with the enquiry and SQDC process acting as conduit between BD and operations.
6. Active participation in relevant BD/client meetings to strengthen understanding of customer needs and deliver tailored proposals.
7. Works with Sales, Project Management and external customers to resolve issues associated with Proposals or Change Orders.
8. To review all new requests for proposals (RFPs); develop the proposal plan and prepare questions for the client as required.
9. To understand the overall scope and requirements of all new enquiries entering the system and directing workload accordingly within the team. To include understanding where technical input is required, the correct personnel needed for input, and the matrix management of the cross-functional team to ensure delivery within deadlines set.
10. Works cross-functionally within the organization to manage the delivery of all proposals, estimates and change orders.
11. Review proposal draft and final versions of the RFP for; thoroughness, accuracy, staffing, financial considerations, quality and effective design layout.
12. Trains new Business Development I Associates to review, interpret and utilize information provided within Request for Quote Forms and Change Order Forms
13. Apply a continuous improvement approach to the template design, seeking input from technical specialists in response to business needs/changes delivering improved efficiency.
14. Drafts and presents cost analysis and Proposals to Executive Leadership Team and External Customers.
15. The job holder is required to work on their own initiative with support from Manager.
16. To work closely with Business Unit Directors, Business Development team, internal teams and clients.
17. To maintain a consistent and high-quality impression of the services offered by PCI by all stakeholders by means of proposals, contracts and presentations and other forms of communications.
18. Controls and manages departmental Work Instructions for accuracy as processes develop or change. Responsible for formally communicating new or changes to existing Work Instructions to Business Development Associates. Ensures all BDA’s are trained on the latest methods.
19. Must be able to review Change Orders and Proposals completed by Business Development Associate I’s for accuracy.
20. To undertake such special assignments to support the business development Director and business development managers as requested and to work outside normal hours when necessary, if required by client program or special assignment.
