About the Role

We are seeking a talented API and Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in RESTful API design, backend development, and cloud-based environments. This role is crucial to support and optimize our mobile and web application ecosystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and manage APIs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across our platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend API layers using Java Spring Boot and Node.js/NestJS to support mobile and web applications.

• Create, test, and manage APIs with Postman and ensure comprehensive documentation using Swagger.

• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to optimize the BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) API layer for efficient data flow and responsive user experience.

• Support API query functions with GraphQL and REST APIs, ensuring high-performance data handling.

• Leverage AWS Cloud Services to deploy, manage, and scale applications, optimizing performance and security within cloud environments.

• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain API endpoints, continuously enhancing and optimizing backend services.

• Provide input and guidance on API best practices and participate in API design reviews with other team members.

Required Skills and Experience

• API Development: Strong expertise with REST APIs, both in Java Spring Boot for mobile API layers and Node.js/NestJS for BFF layers.

• API Testing & Documentation: Proficient in Postman for API testing and Swagger for API documentation.

• API Query Languages: Familiarity with GraphQL for handling complex queries and efficient data fetching.

• AWS Cloud Experience: Solid experience in deploying and managing services on AWS Cloud, with a focus on optimizing environments for scalability, security, and performance.

• Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across mobile and web platforms.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance backend services, with a focus on ensuring seamless user experiences across mobile and web applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with other API documentation tools or API gateway solutions.

• Familiarity with additional AWS services for backend or DevOps processes.

• Experience in scaling applications in high-demand environments.
