Job Description: UI/UX Designer at Vasukam

About Vasukam: Vasukam is dedicated to connecting people worldwide, inspired by the Sanskrit phrase ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ meaning ‘The World Is One Family’. Our app, Ownsfare, is designed to enhance existing connections, foster new ones, and provide social support. We encourage creators to see the world differently, discover new interests, express themselves, and own their space.

Location: Remote (Work from Home)

Duration: 3 months

Perks: Certification upon completion of the internship

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product and development teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the app remains modern and innovative.

Requirements:

• Immediate joiner.
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision.
• Experience with user research and usability testing tools like UserTesting, Lookback, and Hotjar.
• Strong understanding of wireframing, user flow design, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Familiarity with design methodologies such as User-Centered Design (UCD), Agile Methodology, and Design Thinking.
• Experience with collaboration and handoff tools like Zeplin, Abstract, and Sympli to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient handoff to developers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
