Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician


Job Summary:

As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of all facilities within the hotel premises. You will be tasked with performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of various systems and equipment to maintain a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces, to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

3. Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, addressing issues such as broken appliances, malfunctioning lights, leaking pipes, and faulty locks.

4. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

5. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services that cannot be handled in-house.

6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inventories, and inspection reports.

7. Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment parts, requisitioning replacements as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.

8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards governing hotel operations

9. Assist with renovation and refurbishment projects, collaborating with other departments and contractors to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to guests.

10. Provide support for emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or natural disasters, by implementing contingency plans and performing necessary repairs to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to hotel operations.


Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance-related fields preferred.

- Proven experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar service-oriented environment.

- Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Flexibility to work irregular hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular shifts.

- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

- Certification in relevant trades or specialties (e.g., HVAC certification, plumbing license) may be advantageous.
