Job Description

The ideal candidate will be excited to apply creative applications and dashboard software for communicating traditional engineering results to broad audiences. This individual is expected to be self-driven and solve problems independently, with high-level direction from the regional development leads. Solutions and applications are expected to be deployed on both web-based and on-premise environments, incorporating both 2D and 3D visual components.

NV5 Net Zero team members are located in India, Hong Kong, US, and Philippines. The candidate is expected to liaise with team members across these time zones regularly. The candidate will also be required to travel for project work within the APAC region occasionally.

Requirements

1. Motivated Problem Solver

• Hands-on experience designing cloud and on-premise-hosted solutions with creativity and innovative technologies.
• Self motivated to deliver interactive front-end graphics for engineering applications from conceptual user requirements, using solid UI/UX design principles.

2. Software Development

• SQL Database Design and Management-MS SQL Server, Azure Database Server
• REST API experience (connect to data, push data out).
• Authentication and Security Experience with Authentik.
• Web Server maintenance/development.
• Hosted cloud web server setup and maintenance.
• On-premise web server setup and maintenance.
• Version management using Github.
• Docker containers and deployments.
• Program and system testing, user acceptance testing.
• Software and system documentation.

3. Web Application Programming and Development Experience

• Node.js, React.js, Heatmap.js, Next.js, Three.js
• D3JS, Radix, ShadCN, NextAuth, TailwindCss
• TypeScript
• HTML5, CSS, Javascript
• Python
• Go
• SQL
• Data integration with other software via custom API

4. Networking Architecture and IT Experience

• Experience with HTTPS, VPNs, NGINX Reverse Proxies, Firewalls, etc.

5. Data Formats

• Json, Zinc, Trio, CSV

6. Operating Systems and Environments

• Windows
• Linux

7.Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, or related degree

8.Good written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Remote position requiring coordination with an international team in US and Asia time zones.
