About the Role

Our Client KJBN Labs Private Limited is seeking a visionary and technically strong Senior QA Engineer to define and drive the quality engineering strategy and automation framework at KJBN Labs. You will be the architect of our QA foundation across mobile, web, and backend services, making key decisions that shape the developer and QA experience for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable automation frameworks for Flutter mobile apps, Web UI, and APIs.
• Design and lead the execution of test plans that cover integration, API, and end-to-end UI workflows.
• Set up the automation strategy and toolchain that aligns with long-term product and engineering goals.
• Diagnose and debug issues using logs, container checks, and backend tracing.
• Own the decision-making for QA infrastructure, tools, frameworks, and developer experience.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality early in the lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor junior QA engineers to scale the team.
• Ensure test automation is fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.

Required Technical Skills:

• Hands-on automation experience with Appium (Flutter), Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong in API test automation using Postman, Rest Assured, JMeter, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of how services interact via APIs and message queues; ability to interpret logs and work with containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience in setting up and scaling automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of making strategic tool and framework decisions.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with performance testing, cloud-based test platforms, or security testing.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices or tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Exposure to test data management strategies.
• Previous experience of having worked in dynamic environments, built processes from scratch, and handled multiple responsibilities at once.
• Experience in owning QA strategy for a product team or early-stage company.
