Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cashier to join our team at NMB Retail LLP's Hyderabad location. This full-time position requires 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in handling cash and managing transactions efficiently. As a Junior Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth customer transactions while maintaining accuracy and accountability in handling store finances.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Cash Handling (Mandatory skill): Proficient in managing cash transactions accurately and efficiently with a strong understanding of cash registers.
  • Point of Sale Systems (Mandatory skill): Skilled in operating POS systems to process customer purchases seamlessly and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills (Mandatory skill): Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues professionally.
  • Basic Math Skills: Strong mathematical skills to calculate discounts, returns, and refunds promptly and accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate transaction entries and to spot any discrepancies.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain an organized workspace and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and solve customer or transactional issues quickly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage cash register operation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or inquiries professionally.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and promptly prepare reports of monetary transactions at the end of shifts.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and ensuring a smooth checkout process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the store's appearance.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance customer service and retail experience.
  • Execute returns and exchanges adhering to company policies and guidelines.
  • Support inventory management by scanning and restocking items as needed to maintain store supply levels.
