Job Overview


NMB Retail LLP is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at our Hyderabad location. This is a full-time, mid-level position that requires an individual who is adept at handling transactions, providing excellent customer service, and managing point of sale systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Customer Service (Mandatory skill): Proven experience in providing outstanding customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cash Handling (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently with minimal errors.
  • Basic Math Skills (Mandatory skill): Strong mathematical skills for handling cash and card transactions, providing accurate change, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Point of Sale Systems: Experience with operating point of sale systems to process transactions smoothly and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and maintain error-free cash handling.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organization abilities to manage cash registers, maintain records, and streamline transaction processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with customers and resolve any queries or issues promptly.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to address and resolve customer complaints and transaction discrepancies in a professional manner.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using the point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy cash register area, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and transaction issues promptly, providing effective resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures, including financial controls and security measures.
  • Support store operations by assisting with inventory management, restocking of merchandise, and general store maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
