Process: International

Shift: US Rotational (5PM to 5AM – Any 9 hours shift with rotational week offs.)

Exp: 3+ years into US/UK mortgage as an underwriter.

Note: Candidates between Borivali to Virar will be preferable.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in the bpo/mortgage industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of insurance policies and regulations
• Ability to make informed decisions based on financial data
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and underwriting software

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate risks associated with insurance policies
• Analyze financial data to determine the eligibility and pricing of insurance policies
• Review and approve/deny insurance applications based on established guidelines
• Collaborate with underwriting team to develop and maintain underwriting standards and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and agents
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes
• Monitor and evaluate existing policies to ensure adherence to guidelines and suggest modifications if required
• Work closely with other departments such as claims and sales to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare reports and presentations on underwriting activities
