Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using Scala.
- Architecture: Collaborate with architects and other developers to design scalable and robust systems.
- Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, and operations.
- Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-12 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Scala.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Scala and its ecosystems.
- Experience with frameworks such as Akka, Play, or Spark.
- Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
