· Configure desktop and laptop as per the desktop/laptop standardization policies.
· Configuration of printers, data card, scanners etc.
· Configuration of internet settings and proxy settings
· Configuration of mail clients and troubleshooting mail client related issues
· Troubleshoot and resolve desktop / laptop OS issues
· Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues and report hardware issues to respective vendors
· Troubleshooting printer / scanner related issues at users’ desktop/laptop and reporting hardware issues to vendors
· Ensuring records of all new machines installed, movement of machines within site, changes and configuration of machines with the help of asset management
· Manage disk and folder sharing, and permission settings on desktops.
· Assist users in accessing applications based on standard SOP’s.
· Providing privileges to users (as per desktop Management policy / domain policies).
· Installation and configuration of application clients .
· Vendor co-ordination in terms of Call logging, tracking and closure for OEM calls pertain to desktop hardware and desktop software.
· Providing support on video conferencing call setup
· Vendor coordination in case of problems in VC equipment or set-up
· Assist in supporting LAN, print and file services.
· Educating End users about do's and don'ts in desktop operations.
