Project Estimation and Planning • Understand timelines, customer/ delivery requirements clearly and support BD to derive project estimate to bid for projects, considering the following factors o Material/ Equipment, Manpower, T&A, Procurement, Logistics o Historical cost analysis o Study of pricing in market/ by competition • Prepare Milestone Planning Schedule for Internal Customers / Agencies which includes Site In charge, Purchase Manager, Production Manager (Fabrication), resource mobilization & de-mobilization, AP & AR and set timelines / target dates for completion of milestone activities for the above functions/ agencies. • Ensure prompt payments are made to suppliers Project Tracking • Track projects at various stages (like fabrication, mobilization of manpower/ equipment, erection, trail runs, commissioning, de-mobilization etc.) and prepare revisions in plan taking in to account practical difficulties at site in close consultation with Site In charges and Vice President – Projects & Planning. • Raise invoices on completion of each milestone of the project – generate proforma invoice on completion of milestone and tax invoice on approval of the proforma invoice. • Prepare Erection Bill based on material erected at site and obtain client approval, along with measurement sheet and testing protocol. • Highlight critical activities in project execution plan. Alert head of projects about probable delays/ deviation. • Track and report project cost escalations Procurement and Utilization • Track timely procurement of equipment, chemical and mobilization of resources within budget. • Track utilization of resources (equipment and manpower) Process Improvement and Development • Develop and maintain systems and processes pertaining to Project Planning and make continual improvements. • Learn and update knowledge on a continual basis through training and development activities Management Information System • Submit project projection to the Management in the beginning of the month • Prepare reports of any deviations and escalations and present the same for review to Vice President – Planning & Projects. People Development • Train and develop engineers to enhance their capabilities to successfully handle current and future job/ role
