Job Overview

NeXjob.in is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Software Engineer to join our team. As a Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Java and related technologies. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The role is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and is a full-time employment opportunity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in Java software development
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language and related frameworks
• Experience with JavaScript and front-end technologies is a plus
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, or Oracle
• Good understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

Roles and Responsibilities

• Designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications using Java and related technologies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshooting and resolving application defects and issues
• Maintaining existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Participating in code and design reviews to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions
• Contributing to the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the software development industry
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
