Job Description: DevSecOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with extensive experience in security operations (SecOps), particularly within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring robust security measures are implemented across all stages of software development and deployment.

As a DevSecOps Engineer specialising in multi-cloud infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud-based systems and security across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will collaborate closely with technology, development, and security team to ensure that our cloud environments are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage security controls throughout the DevOps pipeline, including code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure, utilizing best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security testing tools and processes seamlessly.
• Design and implement security automation for continuous monitoring, alerting, and response in cloud.
• Coordinate remediation efforts and track progress to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly
• Implement security controls and monitoring solutions to protect cloud environments from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure components, identifying and remedying any security gaps or compliance issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enforce security best practices.
• Work closely with operations teams to optimize cloud resource utilization and performance, minimizing costs and improving efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) and regulatory requirements specific to the banking sector.
• Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on secure coding practices, threat detection, and incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and integration purposes.
• Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP) and vulnerability management tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, with a strong focus on security operations within banking or financial services
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps

Engineer) are a plus.

• Strong expertise in cloud security principles, practices, and tools, such as IAM, encryption, key management, identity federation, and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS/EKS/AKS.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
