Key Responsibilities:
Asset Tracking:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all cybersecurity assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Implement and manage asset tracking systems and tools.
Asset Security:
- Ensure all assets comply with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Implement security measures to protect assets from threats and vulnerabilities.
Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the lifecycle of assets from acquisition to disposal.
- Plan and coordinate asset refresh cycles and upgrades.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and conduct regular audits of asset management processes and records.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all assets, including configuration details, warranties, and maintenance records.
- Develop and update asset management policies and procedures.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, procurement, and cybersecurity teams to ensure asset needs are met.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to manage asset procurement and maintenance.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on asset data analysis.
Incident Response:
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents involving cybersecurity assets.
- Ensure rapid response and recovery of compromised assets.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize asset-related vulnerabilities.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to staff on asset management policies and tools.
- Ensure all users understand their roles in maintaining asset security.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably within the cybersecurity domain.
- Strong understanding of IT asset management tools and best practices.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with asset management software and tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and standards.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
